Written by A Milestone is a structured stage within an Agreement that represents a defined portion of the total project value.
Milestones allow professionals to divide compensation into logical payment phases such as deposit, intermediate delivery and final completion. Each milestone contains a specific amount or percentage and can be activated independently.
When a client clicks Pay Now for a milestone, a secure Checkout Session is created through Stripe. Upon successful payment, the milestone status updates automatically and ledger entries are generated.
Milestones reduce financial risk by aligning compensation with progress. They also create clarity around what is being paid for and when.
Inside happ, Milestones are not separate invoices. They are embedded components of the Agreement lifecycle, tightly connected to signatures, payments and financial records.
